Working with an AutoML startup

Curious if anyone here is involved in an AutoML startup or has partnered with one recently, I'm currently exploring the space myself, and it feels like AutoML is at this weird crossroads with tons of potential, but also a lot of hype to sift through, some platforms are all in on no code simplicity, while others are pushing full blown MLOps automation with pipeline tuning, feature engineering, monitoring, etc. I'm particularly interested in where people are seeing real traction, not just demos that look good, but tools that are actually being used in production

Sadly yeah, it's hit or miss. Things seem to click with tools that are simple to use but still have some serious machine learning stuff, like DataRobot or H2O.ai. I heard that when it comes to actually using this stuff, people go for platforms that keep a close watch and control how things flow

Most AutoML startups are just shiny wrappers around basic workflows, selling no code dreams to execs who can't tell a pipeline from a pie chart. Real ML engineers rarely touch them in production.
