Seeking advice PhD in AI vs. industry career

I'm at a bit of a crossroads right now,trying to figure out whethre I should go for a PhD in AI or stick with my career in the industry.I'd love to hear from anyone who's been in the same boat. What things did you consider when makin your choice,and how did it all turn out for you?

Think about your long term goals, if you're passionate about research and want to contribute to foundational advancements, a PhD should be your goal. But if you'd wanna enjoy building real world applications while learning on the job, staying in industry might be the better decision. Many who chose the industry found they could still work on cutting edge AI without the time and financial commitment of a PhD. Think about it hard, good luck!
